Nice design

While I don't have an issue with losing the caps for these things, the way this one works is a nice redesign of those flashdrives that use a sliding mechanism in place of a cap. The central body of the device moves back and forth in a manner similar to a clicky-pen. When the USB connector is extended, it is very solidly locked in place and is unlikely to move while it's being inserted. When you remove the drive, the central portion of the drive briefly extends and automatically disengages the lock so that the USB connector is covered. No caps to lose and the mechanism works better than any other I've used. I can't comment on performance - I haven't had it long enough to provide any information on that.
